Embroidered Blouse - Ivory Ehecatl

Our craftswomen based in Salcajá have combined their skill in ancient Mayan weaving techniques with state-of-the-art embroidery machines to express their endless creativity.
Thanks to these special machines, our weavers are indeed able to create neater and more intricate patterns that make their handwoven blouses shine bright!

Their exquisite embroideries symbolise the interconnectedness of all living beings, represented in the ancient Mayan and Aztec cultures by colorful and lively flowers:
delicate lilies, orchids and violas were the perfect metaphor for life, whose breath was spread by Ehecatl, the deity of the wind. Thanks to his powers, the precious fragrance of flowers reached every corner of the universe, intertwining the human and spiritual worlds and connecting people with their lost loved ones.

That is quite the conversation starter, isn't it?

Check these unique crafts out and enjoy sharing their valuable stories: they are guaranteed to amaze all your friends and family!
