Ikat&Leather Phone Wallet Case - Smart Travels
Our weavers' refined phone cases possess an outstanding personality that will perfectly match yours.
Combining pure Guatemalan weaving and leather making traditions, these precious accessories display the unique patterns of the ancient Mayan culture while relying on the strength and resistance of vegetable-tanned leather.
Thanks to the collaboration with master tanners based in Quetzaltenango, our weavers' terrific style now has an extra kick: the tannins used for the tanning indeed gift extreme durability, deep tones, and a delicate, intoxicating aroma.
But that's not all!
Our phone cases were designed to be practical and versatile: slots for cards and dedicated pockets to store cash aim at allowing you to keep everything you might need on your daily errands or trips at hand.
Absolute comfort, quality and style were the pillars of their creation.

Wanna know more about the weaving technique used by our Mayan weavers?
We got you covered: to manufacture the refined outer fabrics of each cover, our craftswomen relied on the jaspe weaving technique, or Ikat. It is an ancient art, which consists in intertwining pre-dyed threads (of cotton, in this case) to compose exquisite geometric, floral or animal shapes.
These patterns belong to our weavers' cultural heritage and hide profound, marvellous meanings that bind together all their crafts, not only those made using the jaspe technique.
