Each mask has been made by artisans of the Guatemalan Highlands. The fabrics were originally created on traditional pedal looms using brightly colored, non-toxic dyed cotton.  Each mask features a mixture of cut-offs of our beautifully colored, striped fabrics. The designs of the fabric are bright stripes which, in Mayan symbology can signify agricultural division and lines or the continuous journey forward on the path of life. 

Packs contain a mixture of different color options so that you can wear others as you wash, dry and re-use your masks.

This fabric is a soft and very durable fabric, made from 100% cotton making it perfect fabric for a face mask.

Saving the planet:  We are using our fabric cut-offs to create these face masks and avoid waste of our beautifully crafted fabrics.

These face masks are: 

  • 100% Double-layered cotton - with a light, breathable cotton on the reverse and durable, up-cycled cotton on the front
  • Washable

  • Upcycled 
  • Secure - with elastic loops to fit securely round the ears

What do you need to know?

Material: 100% Rio Blanco Cotton

Size:  Approx. 15cm  x 8xm

Care: Hand-wash in cold water, treat stains with mild detergent, lay flat to air dry weight, material and features. Our products do not shrink, bleed or fade.

Unique: As all our products are handmade, you may notice small irregularities. These are not faults but simply unique features resulting from the artisan nature of the techniques used to make our products.
