Corte Indigo & Mayan Red Face Mask (Pack of 5)

$34.00

Each mask has been made by artisans of the Guatemalan Highlands. The fabrics were originally created on traditional pedal looms, naturally dyed a gorgeous navy blue, made by the Indigo plant, and featuring cut-offs of our richly colored, deep red woven fabrics. The design of the red fabric is inspired by volcanoes and Mayan symbology.  The navy blue  fabric is used by Guatemalan women for the traditional Mayan skirt or ‘Corte’. It is a soft and very durable fabric, made from 100% cotton making it perfect fabric for a face mask.

Saving the planet:  We are using our fabric cut-offs to create these face masks and avoid waste of our beautiful handcrafted fabrics.

These face masks are:

  • 100% Double-layered cotton - with a light, breathable cotton on the reverse and durable, up-cycled cotton on the front
  • Washable
  • Reusable
  • Upcycled
  • Secure - with elastic loops to fit securely round the ears
  • Supporting Artisans

The proceeds of these face masks will directly support the artisan members of our weaving cooperative who now, more than ever, need the support of your thoughtful purchases.
