It features intricate and colorful traditional Mayan designs as well as an invisible zipper closure. The ornamentation depicts birds carrying chicks on their back, which represents a woman's strength when she cares for her children while working to support her family. The diamonds and  X shape in the middle represent the beauty of nature. This decorative throw pillow is hand-woven in the traditional art of backstrap loom weaving by indigenous women of the Quiché region in the Guatemalan highlands.
