Our precious aprons will feel like a crispy breath of creativity into your kitchen!

Each one of these silver gems is composed of Guatemalan corte and huipil fabrics, which are world-renowned for their deep, natural colors and intriguing patterns that originate from the ancient Mayan weaving tradition. They are considered as real art pieces, whose life has been regenerated by the fine artistry of our craftswomen.
They could indeed give birth to a series of unique crafts that match the top-notch quality of Guatemalan traditional garments with our passion for cooking, which we truly believe has the power to unite all people and cultures.

With them at your side, we hope you will feel inspired to try and experiment with new recipes that will nourish both body and soul... and if this becomes an excuse to spend time mixing and stirring ingredients with your loved ones, so much the better: creativity always brings tastier fruits when combined with passion and love. We know something about that.

WE ARE SUSTAINABLE FOR PEOPLE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Our eco-friendly crafts are made with 100% organic cotton and passion.

The whole process of production is energy- and resource-saving, with minimum usage of water and electricity.

TRAMA's cooperative guarantees fair wages to its weavers and funds education programmes for the young members of several Guatemalan communities.

By purchasing TRAMA's products, you are contributing to:

  • preserving our weavers' craftsmanship and cultural identity.
  • developing businesses founded on fair wages for workers and respect for the environment.

Our silver aprons are linked to Ehecatl, the Aztec god of the wind:

like his powerful breaths, our crafts are smooth and full of love. Indeed, through his never-ending breathing, Ehecatl could carry the promise of love of any soul to the end of the world and beyond, reaching the realm of the dead. Thanks to the fine scents bore by his winds, people and spirits had the chance to be reunited.

If you are curious to know more about Ehecatl's heart-warming legend, take a look at these precious blouses: their floral embroideries do have a very special meaning.
