Volunteer
Our volunteer program is a vital part of our mission here at Trama Textiles. Volunteers bring fresh ideas, new skills, and a spirit of collaboration that helps Trama grow stronger each day. If you're passionate about ethical fashion, indigenous culture, community empowerment, and meaningful travel, we’d love to welcome you into our family in Xela.
We have volunteering positions available at Trama, and we welcome contact from prospective volunteers. There are no fees for volunteering and all positions are non-paid. We ask for a minimum 6-week time commitment.
We’re looking for volunteers in the following roles:
1. Marketing Assistant
Help share the story of Trama with the world.
Support our marketing strategy by assisting with email campaigns, brand collaborations, digital outreach, and product launch promotions. Ideal for those with creativity and a heart for social impact.
2. Administrative Assistant
Work behind the scenes to keep our mission moving forward.
Support our coordinator in managing internal organization, scheduling, logistics, and communication with our weaver representatives. Strong organizational and bilingual communication skills are a plus.
3. Graphic Design & Social Media Assistant
Inspire through visuals. Empower through storytelling.
Create compelling visual content for digital and print, help manage our social media presence, and strengthen community engagement online. This role is ideal for someone with an eye for aesthetics and a passion for purpose-driven design.
4. Customer Service Assistant
Be the warm welcome to our store – and our story.
Provide a friendly, helpful in-person experience for visitors at our physical store. Work closely with our weavers to guide guests through our products and values. Bilingual English-Spanish skills are required.
5. Fundraising Assistant
Support us in building bridges that sustain our work.
Assist in researching and developing funding opportunities, donor relations, and partnerships that help Trama continue to grow. Perfect for someone with an interest in NGOs and ethical development work.
