At Trama Textiles, weaving is our way of keeping love, dignity, and tradition alive. Every thread we pass is a story — of resilience, of mothers and daughters, of women who refuse to be forgotten. We are more than a cooperative — we are a community of over 150 Maya women across Guatemala, united in our work to support our families through ancestral weaving.

For Maya women, the loom is more than a tool — it’s our voice, our history, and our chance to provide for our children with pride. Every textile we make is a stand against a system that devalues women’s work and ancestral wisdom.

As indigenous women living in Guatemala, we protect stories, we raise families, and we care for the Earth. Many of us take care of starving at our homes or be leaders in our communities to protect, to give more of our femenine energy to those who surround us. And we keep doing this by weaving.
