Maya Backstrap Loom Kit

This Home Backstrap Weaving Kit brings the ancestral art of Maya weaving into your hands, wherever you are. Each kit is carefully prepared in Guatemala by Indigenous women artisans, providing you with all the tools, materials, and guidance you need to learn the backstrap loom technique — a weaving practice passed down for generations.

Learn at your own pace with easy-to-follow video tutorials and one-on-one support from our professional weavers. Your finished textile can be proudly displayed as a wall hanging, used as a table runner, or transformed into a unique handmade creation.

• 100% Rio Blanco cotton yarn (warp & weft)
• Pre-prepared warp (hand-threaded by expert weavers)
• Beater (to press your weave)
• Rope (to fix the loom)

• Once finished: Hand wash cold with mild detergent
