As the holiday season approaches, our community of women weavers in five communities of Guatemala is busy doing what they do best — creating beautiful handwoven textiles filled with color, culture, and love.

But beyond the threads and patterns, this time of year is also about sharing: a meal, a smile, a small gift that brings warmth to our families and reminds us we are not alone.

At Trama Textiles, we work all year to ensure that every woman artisan has fair income and dignity through her craft. Yet, when tourism slows down, the holidays can be especially difficult.
That’s why we created the Almaya Fund — a way for friends and supporters like you to help make sure our weavers and their children can celebrate Christmas with joy, food on the table, and hope for the year ahead.
