The story behind the product
The story behind the product
This thick, artisan-made blanket is handwoven in Sololá, Guatemala, on a traditional backstrap loom by skilled Maya women weavers. It is crafted using the ancestral Jaspe (Ikat) technique, in which threads are carefully tied, dyed, and realigned before weaving. This meticulous process requires great precision and patience, resulting in striking geometric patterns and a textile that beautifully carries generations of Maya artistry and tradition.
Perfect as a bed cover for King or Queen beds, a cozy throw for your couch, or even as a statement wall hanging. This piece is both functional and decorative — a cultural heirloom for your home.
