Jaspe Scarves
Each piece is handcrafted on a traditional backstrap loom by one of the women in our weaving cooperative.
This scarf is handmade from lightweight 100% cotton and is naturally-dyed with Indigo. This scarf shows the ancient Maya tradition of jaspe weaving: Jaspe, or Ikat, refers to a tie-dye process done to the thread prior to weaving.
