Maya Scene Cushion Cover
Maya mythology tells that for the creation of the human being, white corn was used for the bones, yellow corn for the muscles, black corn for the eyes and hair and red corn for the blood. As such, corn is not just food in these regions but also a part of the ancestral tradition.
This bright cushion cover depicts a scene of Guatemalan highland life: including a farmer, the Quetzal bird and a corn plant.
