Material: 100% Rio Blanco Cotton.
Size: 4 1/4'' x 4'' - 11cm x 10cm.
Features: Open pocket to store banknotes; zipper pocket to collect loose change; multiple slots to have quick access to cards and documents. A strap closure to keep the wallet well-closed, compact and suitable for trousers or jacket pockets.
Care: Hand-wash in cold water, treat stains with mild detergent, lay flat to air dry.

Here are some facts about the foot loom weaving technique:

The treadle or foot loom was introduced by the Spanish to Mayan weavers, who used to manufacture their textiles using the ancient backstrap loom of their ancestors.

The foot and backstrap loom types have been coexisting from then on: the two processes are basically the same, the only exception being the mechanism behind the movement of the warp. In the case of the backstrap loom, the threads of the warp are lifted by a heddle rod by hand, while in the case of the treadle loom this happens mechanically by a series of foot pedals.

Besides this fundamental difference, both tools require a large amount of expertise, skill, and time to create the masterpieces you can admire throughout our collections.
