Large Upcycled Beauty Bag - Vernal Huipil
Our craftswomen's creations capture the transient yet ever-present beauty of nature.
This time, their skilled hands have intertwined each tiny thread to compose majestic pictures of the vernal landscape of Guatemala.
The breath-taking colors, shapes and fragrances of the Guatemalan spring have inspired the weaving of legends and myths on a myriad of gods and creatures... like Xochipilli, the radiant and cheerful god of flowers, who is also the patron and guardian of writing and painting.
Each of these precious bags lives up to Xochipilli's essence and portrays specific moments of the periodic regeneration that makes the earth, waters and skies bloom with remarkable grace and charm.
Native flowers like roses, lilies, violas, pansies and gladioli compose these vivid canvases, together with dazzling stars, golden flying birds and earthy mountain peaks.
They are all elements that typically decorate the huipil, the upper part of the traditional Guatemalan dress that dates back to the times of the ancient Mayans.
Our weavers recycled parts of exquisite huipiles to preserve their inestimable natural and cultural richness while gifting you high-quality and durable items, which will be the perfect companions of your daily routine and adventurous travels.
Enjoy discovering all the little details that adorn these marvellous and comfy accessories!
