This vibrant, hand-embroidered cushion cover represents the beautiful textile designs of the town of San Juan Cotzal in Quiché. This town is part of the Ixil Community located in the Cuchumatanes mountain range, and is known for textiles with striking contrasts of vibrant colors including green, blues, and reds.
This cushion cover design features the vibrancy of contrasted colors that are typical of San Juan Cotzal, and it also features brightly colored hand-embroidery representing Maya men and women standing between stalks of corn.
