When we asked our weavers how we could support them, their number one priority was access to education and a better future for their children. In 2019, we established the Almaya Fund to help with fundraising. A couple of years later, The Almaya Fund established an Education Program to help children of the Trama Textiles Cooperative learn, grow, and excel.
In order to make giving easier for our donors, we are excited to announce that we have added a “Donate Now” button to our homepage. Simply click on this red button and you can easily make a one-time or recurring donation.
We are also pleased to announce the launch of a newly redesigned Student Sponsorship Program. Donors can now choose from three different sponsorship options. The Kin Level and B’alam Level also offer donors the opportunity to build a relationship with a specific student. The Ch’alum Level allows donors to provide more general support for supplies and transportation.
